Private Carp Fishing in Devon – Catch and Release Only

Although the lake is primarily a tranquil wildlife haven, we offer optional coarse fishing for carp as a paid add-on for Sunridge Geodome guests. It’s a quiet, catch-and-release experience designed for guests looking to unwind by the water.
✔ Catch carp from the serenity of our private lakeside.
✔ Purchase a Fishing Pass in advance during booking.
✔ Bring your own rods and gear – ideal for casual anglers.
Fishing Rules & Guidelines:
🎣 Barbless hooks only.
🚫 No keep nets permitted.
🐟 All fish must be gently handled and returned safely.
🧼 Equipment must be sterilised before arrival to protect the lake’s balance.
🍞 Recommended bait: bread, sweetcorn, simple groundbait & pellets.
📜 A valid rod licence is required for anglers aged 13 and over. Licences are available online from GOV.UK.
🔒 All carp are microchipped for stock tracking and security.
⚠️ Important Notice:
While the lake is actively managed, nature can be unpredictable. Very occasionally, wildlife activity (such as otter visits) may reduce fish visibility or numbers.
🎟️ If wildlife activity or other environmental conditions significantly affect fishing during your stay, we will refund your fishing ticket.
🛏️ This refund covers the fishing ticket only. Accommodation bookings remain non-refundable under this fishing-refund policy, as these environmental factors are beyond our control. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Please book with this natural balance in mind. Fish restocking, when required, only occurs in colder winter months. Nonetheless, the lake remains vibrant and continues to welcome both wildlife and happy anglers.
